Focus Terminal for macOS
The short version. Focus Terminal is sold through the Mac App Store, so Apple issues refunds, not us. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account you bought it with. We cannot refund you directly — but tell us why at waaridh@icloud.com and we will back your request with Apple and fix what went wrong.
Apple is the merchant of record for every App Store purchase. Apple takes the payment, holds the transaction, and is the only party able to reverse it. That is not us passing you around: we have no mechanism to return money we never received.
What we can do is help. If you email us we will tell you exactly what to say to Apple, and where the problem is ours we will say so in writing so you can attach it to your request.
Apple's decision is Apple's to make. Where their policy gives them discretion, a clear description of a genuine fault tends to do better than “changed my mind” — which is one reason it is worth emailing us first if something is actually broken.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or anywhere with comparable protection, you have rights over faulty or misdescribed digital content, and in many cases a right to withdraw from a distance purchase, that exist independently of any seller's policy.
For App Store purchases those rights are exercised through Apple under the App Store Terms of Service you accepted, because Apple is the seller. Nothing on this page limits, replaces, or waives any mandatory consumer protection in your country, and nothing here is a time limit on your rights in respect of faulty digital content.
If Focus Terminal is faulty, will not run on a system we say it supports, or is not as described, that is our responsibility as its publisher regardless of who took your money — contact us and we will put it right by fixing the problem, or by supporting your refund request with Apple.
When Apple issues a refund, your licence to use Focus Terminal ends and we ask that you delete the app from your Macs. Focus Terminal has no account system and does not check licences over the internet, so this is a matter of good faith.
Your flight history and preferences are stored only on your Mac and are never sent to us. Deleting the app does not automatically delete that data — the Support page explains how to remove it yourself.
Apple handles these too, through the same Report a Problem page. Accidental and duplicate purchases are among the cases Apple treats most straightforwardly.
